Blackwell launch new safety campaign

Blackwell has started a new safety campaign urging drivers to slow down in roadworks on the Highfield Road in Lydney, with the ‘Please kill your speed, not my Daddy’ campaign featuring signage showing Blackwell staff with members of their family. 

The highest risk of injury or even death for our workforce is from traffic passing our sites too fast or without due care, even though all our operatives wear bright yellow reflective safety clothing on site, it is not enough to keep them safe. 

With this campaign, we are hoping that showing our workers with family members will help humanise them, and encourage drivers to be more aware and simply slow down, as no-one wants to be the reason someone's daddy doesn't come home from work at the end of the day.
