Bayards Hill Primary School visits Blackwells Barton Park

  • 31-5-2016

What could be better than visiting a real construction site when you’re a kid, well a group of KS2 students from Bayards Hill Primary School got to do just that.

Paul Massey, General Foreman on the site gave a brief presentation of the scheme where the students asked lots of interesting questions, there was a safety briefing followed by a tour of the project.

Outfitted in hard hats and safety vests, the students got to ride in 4 x 4’s around the site at Barton Park and have a go in a real digger.  The children were also thrilled to meet Considerate Constructors mascot, Ivor Goodsite and have their photo taken with the site hero, at the end of the tour each student received a goody bag.

The students were well-behaved and respectful, and Blackwell would like to thank them in ensuring a safe and educational site tour.

The current work represents phase 1 where Blackwell are undertaking the infrastructure for this major development which will include over 800 new homes.
